Choosing your ring size

Do you already own a standard ring to measure?

If you have a ring in your size, you can compare it to the sizes of a printable ring size guide.

  1. To do this, print this ring size guide in real size.
  2. Be sure to check the scale at the bottom of the page before using it.
  3. Place your ring on the sheet and find the circle where the inside of your ring touches the outside of the circle line.
  4. The size indicated inside the circle is your size.

If you hesitate between two sizes, take the larger one.

You don’t already own a  standard ring?

You can also find your size by measuring the circumference of your finger with a thin strip of paper or a piece of string.

  1. Take a piece of light-colored string (or a very thin strip of paper), a dark marker or felt tip pen and a tape measure.
  2. Wrap the string around the largest phalanx of the finger on which you want to wear your ring
  3. Mark the intersection, making sure to put ink on both ends of the string.
  4. Measure the distance between the two areas marked with a decimeter or other measuring tool
  5. The measurement in millimeter corresponds to your size (60 mm = size 60). For other units of measurement, compare your measurement to the conversion table

Choosing your bracelet size

You can measure the circumference of your wrist using the same technique as for measuring your finger circumference:

  1. Take a piece of light-colored string (or a very thin strip of paper), a dark marker or felt-tip pen and a tape measure.
  2. Wrap the string around the largest phalanx of the finger on which you want to wear your ring
  3. Mark the intersection, making sure to put ink on both ends of the string.
  4. Measure the distance between the two marked areas with a decimeter or other measuring tool.
  5. Compare the measurement found in cm or inches, to the table to choose your size of bracelet

If your measurement is two sizes, take the smaller size if you prefer a bracelet close to the wrist or the larger size for a looser style.

Regardless of the size, you can always tighten or loosen the bracelet slightly.

Taking care and cleaning your jewelry

Taking care of copper jewelry

I decided not to use lacquer or varnish to protect the color. The protective layer would eventually fade and stains would appear. Copper in its natural state will not fade.
Copper, like most metals, oxidizes over time and takes a darker color. To slow down this process avoid exposing your jewelry to moisture, perfume or chemicals and store your jewelry away from air and moisture.

Taking care of silver jewelry

Avoid exposing your jewelry to moisture, perfume or chemicals. This could accelerate the oxidation of the silver, and therefore, require you to clean it more often. Wearing your jewelry also prevents it from tarnishing due to regular rubbing. You should store your jewelry away from air and humidity.

Cleaning your jewelry

If the color of the metal tarnishes, wash the jewelry with soap and water, taking care to use liquid soap or not to rub solid soap directly into the jewelry. For deep cleaning, use an old toothbrush with soap and water. Rinse and then dry properly. Then rub the jewelry with a polishing cloth or simple lint-free cloth to shine. For a perfect shine, spread toothpaste with a little bit of water on the cloth before using it to rub the jewelry.

When you buy a copper jewel, a small cleaning cloth is offered to you, to facilitate the caring of your new jewel.
